This will be my first and last Sofabaton remote: no firmware updates, no software updates, no api functionality. Very disappointing. Meanwhile there are other brands which make a better job ...
If you add the power buttons to Favourites when something goes wrong use them to correct it, is a way round not having a Help button. I’m sure when I first had my X1 it had this feature but got removed at some point.
Looking at the TN-65W70AGZ it’s a new model not in the database but as all the Panasonics I have had have used the same codes, you should be able to download a random model’s database that includes the separate codes and use that to control your TV. Or if your Harmony still works you could try and learn them from that.
The X1S remote is still not working with the Hue Bridge Pro, tried on the Android and iOS app. Other devices are adding just fine.
Dear Customer, We apologize that the remote control does not feature a dedicated Help button. We will share this suggestion with our team to evaluate its feasibility and consider whether it can be added in a future update.
The best solution I’ve found for this is to create a “virtual” device with all the shutdown commands you need, and add this “device” to all your activities. My issue was that I wanted my setup to default to the Apple TV input on shutdown (so I could airplay music without turning the whole system on), yet I wanted all my zone 2 audio controls grouped in their own activity. Problem was, if added to the Apple TV activity and I was for example listening to a CD on zone 2, when I switched to the zone 2 controls the Apple TV activity would close out and change the input. What I did: - Create a fictional device (I called mine “shutdown environment”). - Add all the IR commands you will need to run from the Off button (you will need to learn them via the hub, since sofabaton doesn’t support copying & pasting codes afaik). - In the power settings, set the device to “on unless the Off button is pressed”. - Enter all the shutdown codes you want to the “Power Off” command as you would for a macro. - Add the virtual device to all your activities. Now, when you power down all those commands will run, but not when you switch activities. A side benefit is, you can add macros to the “Power On” settings as well, and you can go use that “device” as a power-out recovery or system reset as well.
